“Planet Earth 2” premiered back in November in the United Kingdom on BBC One and scored blockbuster ratings. The program comprises six episodes — “Islands,” “Mountains,” “Jungles,” “Deserts,” “Grasslands,” “Cities” — plus the compilation episode titled “A World of Wonder.”

This is the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 nature documentary series that took the world, and the Emmy Awards, by storm. The main theme music will be composed by Hans Zimmer, who won an Oscar for scoring the music to “The Lion King” (1994).
