‘Project Runway’: Brandon Kee is starting to look unbeatable with leading odds of 1/2 going into week 11

Time is running out for anyone trying to catch “Project Runway” season 16 frontrunner Brandon Kee, who has led our winner predictions for most of the season and shows no signs of slowing down. Everything seems to be working in his favor. He has received high scores from the judges seven times this season, more than any other designer. He has won two design challenges, which is more than any other remaining contestant except Ayana Ife. And he has never gotten a low score from the judges, which is true of no one else except, again, Ife. But Ife has only had three high scores this season overall.

As of this writing Kee leads our predictions with odds of 1/2, which translates to a 68% chance of winning the competition. Those are his best odds to date. It’s true that “Project Runway” has been unpredictable this season, and a number of contestants have been sent home after doing well in previous challenges. But even with the fickle nature of this competition it’s hard to imagine the judges not at least keeping Kee in the competition even if he sends his model down the runway in a paper bag tonight.

Ranked a distant second this week is Margarita Alvarez, who has won one design challenge this season and received high scores for the last two weeks. She currently gets odds of 9/2, or an 18% chance of winning. Those are actually her best odds to date as well. Kentaro Kameyama got a low score last week in “Driving Miss Unconventional,” so he has dropped this week to third place with 12/1 odds (8.0% chance of winning). Despite her consistency all season Ife is fourth with 18/1 odds (5.5% chance of winning), while former frontrunner Kenya Freeman is now an underdog with 80/1 odds (1.3% chance of winning).
