With only four queens still in the running to win “RuPaul’s Drag Race” Season 9, VH1 has released the Top 4 profile videos for Peppermint, Sasha Velour, Shea Coulee and Trinity Taylor. Watch them all below. The Season 9 finale airs Friday, June 23 on VH1, capping off the reality TV show’s most successful year ever in both ratings and buzz.
Who do think will win “RuPauls Drag Race”? After watching all of the queens’ video featurettes below, be sure to update your predictions before Emmy-winning host RuPaul Charles crowns America’s next drag superstar Friday night.
“I am Peppermint and I am sweet and sassy,” smiles Peppermint in the profile clip above. “Sounds like America’s next drag superstar to me!” With only one challenge triumph — performing a comedy roast of Michelle Visage in front of a live audience (Episode 8) — Peppermint has earned the fewest victories of the Final 4. Does that put her at a disadvantage heading into the season finale?
Sasha Velour first stepped onto the “Drag” stage with a bloodcurdling scream, but soon endured herself to the other contestants. “I am determined to take over the world with my crazy strange velouring drag, and I am not gonna be stopped now,” she says in the featurette above. Sasha earned two shared challenge wins with Shea Coulee: Producing a live morning talk show (Episode 4) and creating, writing and starring in her own TV pilot (Episode 9).
Shea Coulee declares, “My name is Shea Coulee, and I didn’t come to play, I came to slay,” in the taped piece above. She’s the season’s current leader, taking home a whopping four challenge titles: Producing a live morning talk show (Episode 4), starring in “Kardashian: The Musical” (Episode 5), creating, writing and starring in her own TV pilot (Episode 9), and competing in a queer culture pageant (Episode 11).
Trinity Taylor introduces herself in the clip package as, “Girl, I’m Trinity Taylor. Some people say that I’m the look and feel of real, but my body speaks for itself.” Trinity won three weekly challenges throughout the season: Creating an original fairytale princess with a sidekick (Episode 3), acting in a classic 90s high-school drama (Episode 7) and making over members of the “Drag Race” crew (Episode 10).
