Saturday Night Live” is making a big league change this weekend by going live coast to coast for the first time in the show’s 42-year history. “Tonight Show” star Jimmy Fallon will host the monumental event, with Harry Styles (sans One Direction) as the show’s musical guest (watch their promo above). That means fans on the west coast can see it at 8:30 p.m., while east-coasters will continue viewing it in the normal 11:30 p.m. time slot. Vote in our poll below to let us know if YOU will be watching “SNL” live this week.

NBC’s historic move comes during a year when “Saturday Night Live” has enjoyed a significant boost in ratings and acclaim thanks to Alec Baldwin‘s portrayal of Donald Trump and, more recently, Melissa McCarthy as Press Secretary Sean Spicer. It’s up more than 20% in total viewers this season to over 10 million per episode, so it’s no surprise that the peacock net wants to capitalize on immediate nationwide reactions to its timely political sketches.

When NBC made the announcement last month, entertainment chair Bob Greenblatt said, “’SNL’ — enjoying its most popular season in two decades — is part of the national conversation, and we thought it would be a great idea to broadcast to the west and mountain time zones live at the same time it’s being seen in the east and central time zones. That way, everyone is in on the joke at the same time.”

Fallon returns this week for his third at-bat after hosting in 2011 and 2013; he won guest-acting Emmys on both of those occasions. The last three episodes of the season will be hosted by Chris Pine (May 6), Melissa McCarthy (May 13) and Dwayne Johnson for the season finale (May 20).
