‘Sense8’ season 2 trailer: ‘We are all worth fighting for’ [WATCH]

It has been almost two years since “Sense8” premiered its first season on Netflix on June 5, 2015. We got a feature-length Christmas special to hold us over on December 23, 2016, but now we’ve finally got a trailer for a complete second season, which drops on May 5. The tagline in the trailer is “We are all worth fighting for,” and that does seem to be the prevailing theme of this new sneak preview. Watch it above.

The sci-fi series follows a group of eight disparate individuals from around the world who share two things in common: a birth date and a psychic link that bonds them across the globe. From the beginning of the series the eight “sensates” have been hunted by a mystery man named Whispers (Terrence Mann), who wishes to neutralize them.

But it doesn’t look like they will be so easily defeated. Says San Francisco hacker Nomi Marks (Jamie Clayton) in the trailer, ” Your life is either defined by the system or by the way you defy the system.” Adds Icelandic DJ Riley Blue (Tuppence Middleton), “As long as we’re together I know that there’s nothing we can’t do.” And heroic Chicago cop Will Gorski (Brian J. Smith) gives Whispers this warning: “You think you’re hunting us? We’re coming for you.”
