‘So You Think You Can Dance’: Is Dassy Lee still the frontrunner despite stumble during Bollywood routine? [WATCH]

“You never know quite what’s going to happen during a live show,” said Cat Deeley after Dassy Lee‘s performance with all-star Fik-Shun on Monday night’s “So You Think You Can Dance,” They performed an ambitious Bollywood routine that resulted in a slight stumble for Lee after a challenging lift (watch above). Will that affect her chances of winning the season? As of Monday night’s show she was one of the frontrunners to win season 14.

“My gosh, I loved it. It was so fun!” raved judge Vanessa Hudgens. “I loved seeing you do that. You looked like you’ve been doing that your entire life. The shapes that you created were so incredible … Aside from the little fumble that you guys had, that was stunning.” Mary Murphy added, “Whatever little fumble it was off the back there, you picked it right back up like a true pro. This style makes me happy. You make me happy. You were such a visual feast there … This was intricate, but it was like a walk in the park for you.” Nigel Lythgoe had the last word, saying, “You look like you’ve just dropped into this style, it’s magnificent. Fik-Shun, I feel like you were trying to put a little swag in Bollywood there — great routine, great fun, and a great way to end the night.”

So the judges clearly didn’t hold the slight stumble against them. The question now is whether America will. But Dassy has got some breathing room, at least according to our predictions from Monday night’s show. Our users predicting the show have declared this a dead-even race between Dassy Lee and Lex Ishimoto for the win, with both getting leading odds of 2/1. How will that change going into the next week of live shows?

You can predict right now what will happen next week when the remaining nine competitors take to the dance floor with their all-star partners.
