Lex Ishimoto is still the frontrunner to win “So You Think You Can Dance” season 14 this week, and at this rate it’s hard to imagine anyone coming close to catching him. As of this writing he has leading odds of 4/5 based on the combined predictions of users who have entered our weekly predictions contest. That translates to a 55% chance of winning, only a slight improvement from last week when his odds were 10/11 (52% chance), but nobody else has seen their odds improve much either. The rest of our users are split between the other six contestants in trying to identify a possible dark horse.
Logan Hernandez has moved into second place with odds of 8/1 odds (11% chance), way up from 20/1 odds (5% chance) last week. Koine Iwasaki holds steady with 9/1 odds (10% chance). Kiki Nyemchek is down slightly with 11/1 odds (8% chance). And Taylor Sieve rounds out the top five, also with 11/1 odds (8% chance). But those contestants are so close together they may as well be tied. None of them have stood out enough to our users to cut into Ishimoto’s comfortable lead.
Ishimoto has yet to falter on the dance floor, excellent in every style that has been thrown at him. Last week he received raves from the judges for a contemporary routine that allowed him to dance in his most comfortable style, and Nigel Lythgoe said his second dance of the night, a jazz number with Sieve, was one of the best routines in the show’s history. So what is it going to take to challenge him for the title?
