What a difference a two-hour episode of “Survivor” can make. After turning on his alliance of seven and securing a final four deal, 23-year-old surf instructor Devon Pinto from Solana Beach, CA has skyrocketed to the top of Gold Derby’s winner predictions. Devon now has leading 13/8 odds to prevail, well above the odds of his fellow core four alliance members Lauren Rimmer (2/1 odds), Ashley Nolan (7/1 odds) and Ben Driebergen (33/1). Do you agree or disagree with those predictions? Sound off down in the comments section.
Devon has played a relatively quiet game thus far, relying on his strength in challenges and his buddy relationship with fellow Hustler Ryan Ulrich. However, after Ryan betrayed Devon’s trust by failing to disclose that he told Ben about his hidden immunity idol, Devon decided to part ways with his former ally.
In this week’s 10th and 11th episodes of “Survivor” 35, Devon’s new group solely determined that both JP Hilsabeck and Joe Mena would be next to go. Now that there’s only seven players remaining, it seems likely that this group will make it successfully to the season finale on December 20.
The remaining three players of “Survivor: Heroes v. Healers v. Hustlers” look to have their work cut out for them as they’re clearly outnumbered. In terms of our predictions, we give Chrissy Hofbeck (10/1 odds) the best shot at winning from this trio, followed by Mike Zahalsky (40/1 odds) and Ryan (100/1 odds). Ryan, who wasted his idol at the last tribal council, has had the biggest downfall on our winner’s chart, as he was the favorite to win for most of the season but now has the worst odds.
