We are just days away from finding out who Nick Viall will chose to give the final rose to on season 21 of “The Bachelor.” On the March 13 finale, we will learn which of the two women left in the competition —- Raven Gates, a 25-year-old fashion boutique owner from Hoxie, AR;and Vanessa Grimaldi, a 29-year-old special education teacher from Montreal, Quebec — will steal his heart. We asked you who you thought would win and the lead keeps see-sawing back and forth between the two. Be sure to vote in our poll below if you haven’t already to make your voice heard.
Currently, Vanessa enjoys only a three-percent advantage over Raven (49% to 46%). You understand that for Nick, both of the women still in the running have many attractive qualities. Sure, he has expressed concerns about each of them at one time or another over the course of this tumultuous televised courtship. To help make up his mind, he took each of them on an overnight date in Lapland, Finland.
Nick took Rachel on a cross-country skiing jaunt to a reindeer sanctuary. She struggled to keep up with him but proved to be a good sport. After revealing her insecurities to him, the pair made merry on a sleigh ride, with lots of canoodling under a blanket. They finished off the date with dinner by the fire and, after each admitted they had feelings for the other, they went to the bedroom. In the morning, Rachel revealed, that the previous night had “moved us to another level.”
Nick and Vanessa kicked off their date with a Finnish tradition: a plunge in an outdoor pool and then a stint in a sauna. Back and forth they went between the two extremes before finally taking a break in a hot tub. Nick allowed that he impressed with Vanessa’s fearlessness but expressed reservations about her traditional upbringing. She, in turn, wondered if he would move north of the border. “I never imagined living in Canada,” he admitted. After spending the night with Nick, Vanessa declared her love for him.
