“The Big Bang Theory” was nominated at the Emmy Awards as Best Comedy Series from 2011-2014, however it never scored the crucial directing and writing nominations necessary to win. But even though the show is TV’s number one comedy and its stars are some of the highest-paid actors on television, it has seemingly fallen off of Emmy’s radar.

From the get-go Jim Parsons has been “The Big Bang Theory’s” big draw, scoring a whopping six consecutive Best Comedy Actor Emmy nominations of which he won four: 2010-2011 and 2013-2014. Despite the Golden Globes’ multi-cam bias, Parsons still prevailed there winning Best TV Comedy/Musical Actor in 2011. Parsons also has been nominated at the SAG Awards for Best Comedy Actor from 2013-2016 and as part of the Ensemble from 2012-2017.

The show, which has turned into a nerdy version of “Friends,” boasts a hilariously large cast. Johnny Galecki, one of the original stars and a TV veteran from “Roseanne,” earned an Emmy nomination in 2011 and a Golden Globe bid in 2012. Parsons and Galecki were joined at the end of Season 3 by another TV vet, Mayim Bialik, best known for her prior work as “Blossom.” For her role as Parsons’ love interest Amy Farrah Fowler, Bialik earned four Emmy nominations for Best Comedy Supporting Actress between 2012 and 2015.

Guest star Christine Baranski has been nominated for Best Comedy Guest Actress four times: 2009-2010 and 2015-2016. The show even helped the legendary icon Bob Newhart take home his first Emmy, for Best Comedy Guest Actor in 2013. Only Kaley Cuoco, the third member of the original trifecta, has yet to gain any awards attention for her role as Penny.
