The Masqueraders (‘America’s Got Talent’ 2017) exit interview: Singers thank America for ‘support and prayers’ [WATCH]

“We just want to thank you, America, for getting behind us,” said singing group The Masqueraders after their elimination on “America’s Got Talent” 2017. “We thank you for all your support and all your prayers,” they continued. Sadly, the experienced crooners were one of five acts to be cut during the Quarterfinals 2 results episode of “AGT.” Watch The Masqueraders’ exit interview above.

The humble singers from Memphis, TN continued their praises for America for supporting them on their journey. “We appreciate you. Can’t do it without you. Thank you,” they smiled backstage at the Dolby Theatre after being eliminated on Season 12 of NBC’s long-running reality TV show.

The Masqueraders’ final performance on the Live Show 2 episode of “Americas Got Talent” was to sing an original song that they wrote 50 years ago. Due to racial injustices the three singers were dropped from their record label before their careers could take off. While judge Mel B thought the performance was “over-produced,” Simon Cowell still passionately urged the audience to vote for them.

The other four groups to be sent home this week were escape artist Demian Aditya (watch his exit interview), singing dancers Mirror Image (watch their exit interview), dance group Brobots and Mandroidz, and dog act Pompeyo Family Dogs.
