Night 2 of the knockouts aired Monday night on “The Voice” Season 13, with country singer Whitney Fenimore performing Train‘s “Calling All Angels” for Team Miley Cyrus. Fenimore was paired up against popular singer Moriah Formica, with Formica proving victorious and knocking out Fenimore. Watch Fenimore’s final performance from “The Voice” knockouts above.
Back in her blind audition, Fenimore performed “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and two coaches turned their chairs around: Adam Levine and Cyrus. The next time we saw Fenimore in the battle rounds, she and Adam Pearce sang “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” and Fenimore was eliminated by Levine, at which point she was stolen by Cyrus. Special adviser Kelly Clarkson helped Fenimore and all of the other remaining artists in the knockouts. At the end of this round only 20 artists will remain and perform in the live shows of NBC’s reality TV program.
Fenimore is 28 years old and currently resides in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Here’s the official NBC bio: “Whitney grew up in Tulsa singing in the church and playing in different Christian bands. After college, Whitney moved to Los Angeles to pursue her music career. Realizing she wanted to reach a bigger audience, she started playing mainstream music. Unfortunately, the stress of trying to make it alone in Los Angeles sent Whitney into depression and anxiety. She started experiencing frequent panic attacks while performing, and eventually her dad had to come to LA and take her back home. After six months of recuperation and with the support of her family, Whitney found music again. She started playing in local coffee shops back home and finally has the confidence for something bigger. The Voice is the second chance she needs to pick up her music career.”
