Josh West is your top choice to win Season 12 of “The Voice” for coach Adam Levine. He received an overwhelming 55% of your votes from our recent poll about which singer from Team Adam would be champion for this spring season.
Next up in our poll results are Kawan DeBose (8%), Johnny Hayes (8%), Hanna Eyre (7%), Sheena Brook (6%), and Mark Isaiah (6%). The other members of his team are Gaby Borromeo (4%), Taylor Alexander (3%), Nala Price (2%), Malik Davage (1%), Jesse Larson (0%), and Julien Martinez (0%). Read about all dozen artists with analysis from our writer John Benutty.
Despite his popularity in our poll, West is fourth in our power rankings for Team Adam. Regarding the 17-year-old from Arizona, Benutty says, “Josh, a huge 90s fan despite being a young artist, was able to get all four judges to fight hard for him after an epic first performance. I think what excited Adam about Josh is the chance to work with an artist in a genre that the show has seen very little of in the past. I have to agree — there’s a lot of potential for Josh to be a strong contender.”
According to his NBC bio: “Josh comes from a musical family. Although his father, who is a guitar teacher, taught him how to play, his real passion was singing. He wrote songs and performed with his dad around Glendale. During that time, he was home schooled in order to have flexibility with music. He graduated high school at 15 and has been working as a full-time musician with his dad, booking gigs and traveling to various locations in Arizona to perform.”
