In a big blow for “The Voice” judge Miley Cyrus, one of her three acts — Janice Freeman — is predicted to be eliminated after the second live show of season 13. Cyrus lost her only previous season on “The Voice” when Blake Shelton claimed the fourth of his fifth titles in season 11. She is hoping that season 13, which kicked off its live shows on Nov. 20, turns out to be luckier for her.
Our readers think Cyrus made a mistake by putting Freeman through to the final three, along with Ashland Craft and Brooke Simpson, at the end of the playoff round on Nov. 15. When we asked you which of these three contestants sounds most like a winner, you were almost evenly split between Craft and Simpson, with the former leading by a vote of 40% to 38%. Freeman lagged far behind at 22%.
Cyrus opted for Freeman over three other artists: Moriah Formica, Adam Pearce and Karli Webster. When we asked you which of these three artists that didn’t make the grade with Cyrus was the most deserving to move on to the live shows your overwhelming choice was Formica who garnered a whopping 57% of your votes (Pearce netted 22% while Webster managed just 21%.)
However, there is some good news for Cyrus as one of her two other acts, Simpson, is currently ranked second to win the series behind Noah Mac from Team Jennifer Hudson.
