‘The Voice’ Top 4 Instant Save: Red Marlow was wrong artist to rescue, say 77% of readers

Red Marlow made it into the final of “The Voice” by winning the Instant Save on the fourth live results show of season 13. This singer from Team Blake Shelton was among the middle three vote-getters among the Top 8 artists. He was pitted against Adam Cunningham from Team Adam Levine and Noah Mac from Team Jennifer Hudson in a sing-off. Each had to perform one more song to try and win votes cast by viewers via Twitter with two of the artists then eliminated.

We asked if you thought that that Marlow deserved the Instant Save more than Cunningham or Mac and only 23% of you thought he did. Mac got the backing of a whopping 62% of readers while Cunningham registered with 15%.

Marlow was up first and tackled the 1983 country song “Dixieland Delight,” which was the first single from Alabama‘s album “The Closer You Get….”

Cunningham did himself proud with his rendition of the Travis Tritt standard “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares)” from the album “It’s All About to Change,” which went to #2 in 1991.

Mac followed with “Sign of the Times,” the well-received first solo single from One Direction heartthrob Harry Styles, which hit #4 this spring.

Those watching the show live in the Eastern and Central time zones knew when to vote via Twitter. Fans of either artist in the rest of the country had to rely on social media if they wanted to weigh in with their pick, albeit without having seen the performances.
