In “The Walking Dead” Season 7 finale, Sasha took a cyanide pill on the way from the Sanctuary to Alexandria, committing suicide so that she could weaponize herself into a walker to attack Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). Unfortunately, Sasha didn’t get to bite Negan, but she did feast on one of his Saviors before Maggie (Lauren Cohan) later stabbed her in the brain, putting her out of her misery.
“It just felt so right [and] felt so complete,” Martin-Green told Chris Hardwick on “Talking Dead” following AMC’s airing of the finale. “It was quite poetic when I found out how it was going to happen.” Sasha was one of the show’s longest-running cast members, having first appeared way back in the Season 3 episode “Made to Suffer” with her late brother Tyreese.
Martin-Green fans can check her out next on CBS All Access’s upcoming drama “Star Trek: Discovery.” What did you think of “The Walking Dead” Season 7? Be sure to sound off in the comments section below and in our fun TV forums.
