Sasha first appeared in the Season 3 episode “Made to Suffer,” making her one of the show’s longest-running cast members. Throughout her four-year journey Sasha had to watch as her brother Tyreese and boyfriends Bob and Abraham were all killed, making hers one of the more tragic stories on “The Walking Dead.” But despite all that, Sasha always persevered and never turned her back on her friends.

As Gold Derby readers predicted, Sasha failed to survive the Season 7 finale, titled “The First Day Of The Rest Of Your Life.” Sasha took a cyanide pill on the commute to Alexandria, committing suicide so that she could weaponize herself into a walker to attack Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Saviors. “It just felt so right,” Martin-Green told Chris Hardwick on last night’s “Talking Dead.” “It felt so complete. It was quite poetic when I found out how it was going to happen.”

Martin-Green will next be seen on CBS All Access drama “Star Trek: Discovery.” Now that we know how Sasha’s story ends on “The Walking Dead,” vote in our poll about whether you’ll miss her on the show. Also sound off about “The Walking Dead” in the comments section below and in our fun TV forums.
