Tony Awards Honors of Excellence: Nina Lannan and Alan Wasser to be honored on June 11

This year’s recipients of the Tony Awards Honors for Excellence in the Theatre are two of the most successful General Managers in the industry: Nina Lannan and Alan Wasser. These honors began in 1990 to recognize those who have made outstanding contributions to the Broadway theater but are not eligible to contend in any of the Tony Awards categories. This year’s honorees will be feted at the Tony Awards on June 11.

In making the announcement, American Theatre Wing president Heather Hitchens and Broadway League president Charlotte St. Martin said, “Nina and Alan are the driving forces behind some of Broadway’s most cherished and long-running musicals, and their individual contributions to the theatrical landscape, not only on Broadway but around the world, are exemplary. We are thrilled to honor them this year.”
