To promote the return of the series on April 16, HBO has released the teaser trailer below. The paycaster promises that this sixth season will have 10 episodes, as has every season save the first, which was eight episodes long.
Current showrunner David Mandel has already shown he is adept at reinventing the series, taking over from creator Armando Iannucci for the acclaimed fifth season. Indeed, that installment, crammed with storylines that showcased all of the core cast, won a bookend Best Comedy Series award at the Emmys. And Louis-Dreyfus took home Best Comedy Actress for a record-setting fifth year in a row.
