Oscars 2018: The Weinstein Company strong slate includes ‘The Current War,’ ‘Mary Magdalene’

Last year the Weinstein Company reaped six Oscar nominations for “Lion,” including Best Picture. This year, the studio has four strong contenders, including the next film by “Lion” helmer Garth Davis.
