Who’ll win ‘Big Brother 19’: Paul, Josh or Christmas? Find out who is in final HOH competition

“Big Brother 19” ends on Wednesday (Sept. 20) with a live two-hour finale on CBS from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Three houseguests are still in the running for the $500,000 grand prize: Christmas Abbott, Paul Abrahamian and Josh Martinez. The show will kick off with Part 3 of the final Head of Household competition. The winner of that will get to choose which of the others to take to the BB19 jury. Spoilers ahead

In last Friday’s taped episode of “Big Brother,” we saw the start of Part 1 of the HOH competition which had actually taken place on Thursday (Sept. 14) when the feeds were offline. Paul won Part 1 by staying atop a platform longer than either Christmas and Josh. Josh was the first to fail this test of endurance, followed by Christmas at the one-hour mark. That put Paul in place as one of the two houseguests to face each other on Wednesday in Part 3 of the HOH competition.

On Saturday (Sept. 16), Christmas and Josh went up against each other in Part 2, a six-hour long marathon that combined combination of physical strength and mental agility in three rounds. Josh won by about five minutes.

Josh will now face Paul in Part 3. Based on previous seasons, we expect this to be a quiz in which Josh and Paul will have to guess how the evicted houseguests answered questions about their time in the “Big Brother” house.

Since Saturday, Josh and Paul have been discussing who they each would take to take to the jury should they win Part 3. Paul has never wavered: he is going to evict Christmas from the house and bring Josh to the Final 2. By his way of thinking, Josh is even more disliked than he is, so victory should be finally be his. He has learned from the mistake he made last year when he took Nicole Franzel to the Final 2. She won by a vote of 5 to 4.

While Josh had thought that Christmas was the better choice, he now thinks that he can get more votes than Paul by mounting a charm offensive. He has been busy apologizing to jury members for his behavior via video messages.
