2018 Emmy nominations complete list: All the nominees for the 70th Emmy Awards

The 2018 Emmy nominations were announced Thursday, July 12 at 8:30 a.m. PT / 11:30 a.m. ET. Nominations for the 70th Emmy Awards were revealed at the Wolf Theater at the TV academy’s Saban Media Center in North Hollywood. Samira Wiley (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and Ryan Eggold (“New Amsterdam”) were joined by CEO Hayma Washington to reveal the roster of nominees. See the 2018 Emmy nominations list below. (For all Creative Arts categories visit the Emmys website.)

This year’s ceremony will take place Monday, September 17 at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles and will air live coast-to-coast on NBC beginning at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET. Michael Che and Colin Jost, who anchor “Weekend Update” on “SNL,” will serve as Emmys hosts for the first time. NBC has tapped longtime “Saturday Night Live” producer Lorne Michaels to produce the Emmys.

Michaels produced the 1988 Emmys, which were emceed by “Dynasty” leading man John Forsyth. While much has changed in the TV business since then, Michaels has been a constant at “SNL.” Expect him to include many of the recurring characters that have made the show a sensation once more.

As a reminder, last year’s big Emmy winners were Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” for Best Drama Series and HBO’s “Veep” for Best Comedy Series; the latter won’t be among this year’s nominees as it didn’t air any new episodes. Conversely, the big winner in 2016, “Game of Thrones,” will be a major player at this year’s Emmys. Which of your favorite TV programs will win this year? Check out the complete list of 2018 Emmy Awards nominations.
