2018 Emmys: ‘Saturday Night Live’ and ‘Will and Grace’ will lead acting nominations for comedy series

Live from New York, it’s an Emmys domination! According to Gold Derby’s Emmy predictions, NBC’s perennial sketch series “Saturday Night Live” will be swimming in acting nominations this year. It’s predicted to top all other laffers in terms of acting bids with a jaw-dropping seven, including for last year’s champs Kate McKinnon and Alec Baldwin. Nipping at “SNL’s” heels with six predicted acting noms is NBC’s revival of “Will and Grace,” led by its winning ensemble of Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes.

Gold Derby’s racetrack odds are derived from the predictions made by Expert journalists, website staff Editors, our Top Users who scored the best predicting previous events, and all site Users. The Emmy nominations will be unveiled July 12.

SEE Emmy longshots I’m hoping for: Drew Barrymore (‘Santa Clarita Diet’), Christine Baranski (‘The Good Fight’), Cristin Milioti (‘USS Callister’)
