2018 Razzie Awards nominations: Full list of Razzie nominees in all 9 categories ‘honoring’ the worst movies of the year

As is tradition, the Golden Raspberry Awards announced their contenders on the eve of the Oscar nominations. The Razzies, now in their 38th year, are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the worst films of the year. Watch the announcement video above, and scroll down for the full list of nominees in all nine categories ranging from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel.

These awards are decided by more than 1,000 voters casting their ballots online from 49 US states and 25 foreign countries, and they have chosen a lot of familiar faces. “Transformers: The Last Knight” is the fifth film in Michael Bay‘s action franchise and the fourth in a row to be nominated for Worst Picture following “Revenge of the Fallen” (2009), “Dark of the Moon” (2011), and “Age of Extinction” (2014). So far the only film to win Worst Picture was “Revenge of the Fallen,” but with a leading nine nominations this year “Transformers” could finally win again, which would make it the first movie franchise with multiple Worst Picture wins.

However, “Fifty Shades Darker” could beat it to the punch. It’s the second film in the erotic thriller trilogy, and its up for eight awards. The first film, “Fifty Shades of Grey,” won Worst Picture two years ago in a tie with “Fantastic Four.” The third and final film in the trilogy, “Fifty Shades Freed,” opens on February 9, which will keep it fresh in mind when voters are picking this year’s winners. But will it inspire Razzie voters to check off “Fifty Shades Darker” on their ballots, or will they save the worst for last and hold out for next year’s awards like they did when they gave Worst Picture to the “Twilight” finale, “Breaking Dawn, Part 2”?
