Winners for the 24th Screen Actors Guild Awards will be revealed Sunday, January 21 on TNT and TBS beginning at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT. Of the nine television races, Gold Derby predicts that Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” will continue its awards domination by winning two SAG trophies, more than any other program. That would follow major victories at the Emmys and Golden Globes for both the series and its leading lady Elisabeth Moss.
The remaining seven SAG trophies are expected to be split evenly among seven different TV programs, including HBO’s “Big Little Lies” and Netflix’s “GLOW.” That’s similar to last year’s ceremony when “The Crown” became the only show to take home two awards, for Claire Foy and John Lithgow. Interestingly enough, the last series to come away with three kudos in the same evening was “30 Rock” at the 2009 ceremony, for Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey and the entire ensemble.
