BICTH: “Glad to see Foy getting in even though I swapped her out for Yeoh, the performance was truly great, although slightly surprised Kidman doesn’t get in for supporting.”

Eden: “Lanthimos snubbed.”

O’Hara: “Vice and Green Book on Best Director were unexpected”

Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1): “A Star is Born snubbed in screenplay and Britell snubbed in score. Those are legitimate shocks.”

O’Hara: “I was so sure about ASIB on screenplay since La La Land even won.”

Best Film Score:

Luca Giliberti: “Nicholas Britell’s omission in Score is absolutely ridiculous. That has to be one of the most beautiful film scores I have ever listened to.”

Best Film Song:

NameTBD: “Happiest surprise was Dolly’s nomination. I know she doesn’t have a chance against Gaga’s hype, but still great to see.”

vinny: “Dolly blew this race open. I could see them going for her over Gaga. Both equally deserving and iconic but Dolly is Dolly.”

Marcus H: “Where is COLD WAR?? Where is Yorgos Lanthimos? Where is Ethan Hawke?”

Best Animated Film:

Diet Teridax: “ISLE OF DOGS IS COMING FOR THAT OSCAR WIN!!!!!!! Even I didn’t predict Desplat to make the cut with the Globes. He is so winning the Oscar, anyone who says otherwise is in denial. Yes, yes, yes!”
