The bad times continue to roll for the Baudelaire children on Season 2 of “A Series of Unfortunate Events.” Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris) is still after their fortune and he is definitely not messing around.
“This time, I have no mercy,” Olaf declares in the new full-length trailer for the second season. “I won’t be satisfied with just your fortune. I will obliterate you in the cruelest way possible!”
Season 2 will adapt books five through nine of the beloved children’s series and will include the kids, Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and baby Sunny, going off to boarding school. Along the way, they’ll find common ground with other orphans, all while Olaf pursues them.
The second season consists of 10 episodes, up from last season’s eight. The show’s third season will be its last, presumably covering the final four books of the Lemony Snicket series.
“A Series of Unfortunate Events” returns Friday, March 30 on Netflix.
