Aidy Bryant (‘Saturday Night Live’) Emmy episode revealed for Best Comedy Supporting Actress (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Aidy Bryant is entering the “Saturday Night Live” episode hosted by Chadwick Boseman as her Emmy submission for Best Comedy Supporting Actress. This installment aired April 7 and was the 17th episode of the 43rd season for the NBC show.

In this show, Bryant appears in a commercial parody for Pro-Chiller Leggings, a segment trying to become the best friend of Cardi B, as a fertility doctor and as a Disney worker in the Magic Kingdom.

Bryant is a previous nominee for Best Music and Lyrics in 2014, but this year marks her first nomination as a performer. For the 2018 ceremony, she is in a very deep category of eight women, with her other competitors being reigning two-time champ Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live”), previous winners Laurie Metcalf (“Roseanne”) and Megan Mullally (“Will and Grace”), past nominees Alex Borstein (“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) and Leslie Jones (“Saturday Night Live”), plus first-time contenders Zazie Beetz (“Atlanta”) and Betty Gilpin (“GLOW”).
