‘American Idol’: Will drag queen Ada Vox win season 16 after slaying ‘Feeling Good’? [POLL]

Ada Vox has made a triumphant return to “American Idol” five years after being bounced from the top 50. Back then, the draq queen competed as Adam Sanders. Now she is back in all her fierce glory and winning over the three judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — with her powerful voice and sassy style.

She stood out among the 12 singers performing on Sunday with her rousing rendition of “Feeling Good” by Nina Simone. Perry praised her profusely. “You’ve heard the expression ‘wig snatched’?” Perry said as she bowed down. “Wig flew!” she declared. “I mean, wow, Ada. You are here to win.”

At her March 25 audition, the 25-year-old had explained her transformation was a direct result of all the online bullying. “I let it get to me in the wrong way. It killed me inside,” Vox revealed. The she realized she needed to be true to her real self. “Through all of the negativity I have managed to build myself up as a new person, a stronger person. I’ve recreated myself in ways that I could not have imagined. I am so ready to show everybody, to show all of America, to show these judges, who I am now. I can take anything and everything that comes my way.”
