After Trevor finished his “Home” performance at the Dolby Theatre, Katy tried to follow him but then stopped cold when he hugged his girlfriend in the audience. She fake cried in Luke and Lionel’s arms, screaming, “He wanted to make this place my home!”

As Luke tossed tissues in Katy’s face, Lionel threw his arms up and told the crowd, “I want to go home. I don’t think I signed up for this. Did I sign up for this?” Katy pretended to blow her nose in the tissues, truly committing to the act.

Backstage, unaware of what was going on, Trevor remarked, “I got a good feeling from the judges. When I was singing they were all smiling and Lionel was like, ‘Look at me, focus right here.’ That calmed me and helped me with my performance, so I do feel like I’m gonna make it through.”
