‘American Idol’: How to vote for the Top 7 on Disney Night

Voting for the Top 7 kicks off as soon as “American Idol” starts on Sunday, April 29. You only have until the last commercial break to weigh in with your favorites. There are three ways to make your voice heard: online, by app or via text. You can vote up to 10 times per method for each artist. That means you could cast up to 30 votes for each and every contestant that you want to see continue in season 16.

To vote via the app, which is available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, or online at abc.com, you must be at least 13 years of age and resident in the U.S., Puerto Rico or the Virgin Islands. You can reallocate your votes throughout the evening; just be sure to hit save each time that you do so.

To vote via text, you must text the corresponding contestant number to “21523.”

Caleb Lee Hutchinson: text “1” to 21523
Michelle Sussett: text “2” to 21523
Ada Vox: text “6” to 21523
Catie Turner: text “7” to 21523
Cade Foehner: text “8” to 21523
Dennis Lorenzo: text “9” to 21523
Maddie Poppe: text “10” to 21523
Jurnee: text “11” to 21523
Michael J. Woodard: text “13” to 21523
Gabby Barrett: text “14” to 21523

At the end of this episode, which is live nationwide, three artists will be told by host Ryan Seacrest that they have been eliminated. For those on the west coast who don’t want to watch live, the show will be repeat in its usual 8 p.m. time slot with a warning that voting is closed.
