“American Idol” has reached the Top 24 stage of the competition and these would-be winners have been divided into two groups. Every one of these two dozen hopefuls had to perform twice more in front of judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie who then determined if they deserved a place in the Top 14. They had to sing both solo and in duets with celebrities.
The four episodes hosted by Ryan Seacrest in which these two dozen artists were divided into two groups were taped weeks ago. The first of these, featuring the Group 1 solos, aired on April 8. The Group 1 duets air on April 9 while Group 2 will be showcased on April 15 and 16.
