“American Idol” is halfway through determining which 14 singers get to perform on the season 16 live shows starting April 22. On April 8 and April 9, the first group of 12 singers performed. The lucky seven to make the grade with judges Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie were: Gabby Barrett, Jonny Brenns, Cade Foehner, Dennis Lorenzo, Michelle Sussett, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard. (Of the five singers who didn’t make the cut, be sure to vote in our poll to let us know who YOU think was robbed.)
This Sunday and Monday (April 15, 16), the second group from the Top 24 will get a chance to shine in both solos and with celebrity duets. These shows were taped weeks ago and we have discovered the songs they will perform. Below, the list of the dozen artists in contention for the seven slots remaining in the Top 14 and the tunes you will see them sing on Sunday.
