‘American Idol’ Top 10 frontrunners: Gabby Barrett, Maddie Pope, Catie Turner, Ada Vox, Cade Foehner …

On the Monday April 23 episode of the ABC revival of “American Idol,” we will learn which artists made the Top 10. Each of the Top 14 finalists sang one song on Sunday’s show. Six of them will learn from host Ryan Seacrest that they number among America’s favorites and have earned places in the Top 10. (The other four will be chosen by the three judges — Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie — after all eight sing again).

We asked you which of the Top 14 performers was your pick for a place and three women each registered double digit support. Gabby Barrett took a whopping 20% of the vote for her rendition of the Miley Cyrus hit “The Climb.” She was followed at 15% by Maddie Pope for her version of the Simon & Garfunkel classic “Homeward Bound” and Catie Turner at 12% for “Take Me to Church” by Hozier.

Tied at 9% each are Cade Foehner and Ada Vox. The former sang “Black Magic Woman” by Santana while the latter delivered “The Show Must Go On” by Queen. The last of the leading half dozen artists according to readers is Michael J. Woodard with the Sia hit “Titanium.”
