The season 16 “American Idol” Top 7 will sing songs from the Prince catalog on the May 6 episode. Scroll down to find out which tune from the expansive repertoire of this late great singer that your favorite contestant will be singing on Sunday’s show. These lucky seven artists will also be performing a second song from the year they were born on this revival of the reality competition series that airs on ABC.
This episode, like that of the Top 10 on April 29, will be seen live nationwide. That scheduling change means that everyone across the country will get to vote for their favorite singers and see the results at the same time. At the end of this two-hour telecast, two artists will be eliminated. For those on the west coast who don’t want to watch live, the show will be repeated in its usual 8 p.m. time slot with a warning that voting is closed.
The seven finalists are: Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe, Jurnee Siani, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard. Which of these contestants do you think will win season 16? After reviewing the list of the Prince songs you will see them sing on Sunday vote for your favorite at the bottom of this post.
