Season 16 of “American Idol” may be airing on ABC, but it is bringing back one of the staple segments from the show’s 15-year run on FOX: the Top 7 will sing songs from the years they were born on the May 6 episode. The seven finalists are: Gabby Barrett, Cade Foehner, Caleb Lee Hutchinson, Maddie Poppe, Jurnee Siani, Catie Turner and Michael J. Woodard.

Scroll down to find out which tunes were at the top of the charts in the years that your favorite contestants were born. From earlier spoilers, we know that these lucky seven artists will also be performing a second song on Sunday from the vast catalog of the late singer/songwriter Prince.

This May 6 episode, like that of the Top 10 on April 29, will be seen live nationwide. The scheduling change ensures everyone across the country will get the same chance to vote for their favorite singers and see the results in real-time. At the end of this two-hour telecast, two artists will be eliminated. For those on the west coast who don’t want to watch live, the show will be repeated in its usual 8 p.m. time slot with a warning that voting is closed.
