‘American Idol’ winner Maddie Poppe debuts new single ‘Keep On Movin’ On’ during ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ [WATCH]

Back on May 21, Maddie Poppe became the latest addition to the “American Idolwinners list after a nation-wide audience voted for the singer-songwriter over Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Gabby Barrett. Now, five months later, Poppe released her second single on October 26 titled “Keep On Movin’ On” and performed it with her trusty guitar during “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” In the live video (watch below), Poppe’s former “American Idol” host Ryan Seacrest makes the introduction alongside Kelly Ripa.

“Keep On Movin’ On,” a bluesey tune about not giving up after a breakup, is Poppe’s second single after “Going Going Gone,” which was written by Julia Michaels and released during the final week of “American Idol” Season 16. After being named the winner on ABC’s reboot of the reality TV show, Poppe was so emotional that couldn’t sing “Going Going Gone” without the help of her fellow finalists … and judge Katy Perry.

Also during the “American Idol” finale, Poppe and Hutchinson shocked the world by announcing that they’re dating. As both sets of parents looked on, the finalists sang a duet of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “What a Wonderful World.” Then Hutchinson declared, “Maddie’s like my best pal and I’ve known her since the beginning of Hollywood Week. You know, she, uh, she actually happens to be my girlfriend.”
