‘American Idol’ predictions: Gabby Barrett will win season 16, say 55% of viewers

Gabby Barrett has an overwhelming lead to win “American Idol” over her two remaining rivals. In our overnight poll, she has the support of 55% of viewers while Maddie Poppe nets 32% of the total tally and Caleb Lee Hutchinson is last with an unlucky 13%. These three made it to the season 16 final on the basis of their performance on the May 13 episode.

They took to the stage to sing two songs: one from the back catalog of season 4 “Idol” winner Carrie Underwood and another in honor of Mother’s Day. All of America voted in real-time and Ryan Seacrest revealed that Cade Foehner and Michael J. Woodard had been eliminated (Who was better?)

Which of these three finalists do you think will be crowned winner of “American Idol” on May 21? After reviewing the rundown of all the songs they’ve sung to date in this reality competition, cast your vote in our poll. And be sure to sound off with your thoughts on this revival of “American Idol” in the comments section.
