Joseph O’Brien could finally have girls saying ‘Hello’ after he crushes Lionel Richie song on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Joseph O’Brien travelled from his small town in Tennessee to audition for “America’s Got Talent” and four yeses later he is on his way to the next round. After some gentle probing from Heidi Klum, he admitted he’d never had a girlfriend and had not even been kissed. This soft-spoken young man took his place behind his piano and sang a heartfelt rendition of the Lionel Richie standard “Hello.” (Watch his “AGT” audition video above.)

The curly-haired cutie, who works as a trampoline monitor, certainly had plenty of girls in the audience wanting him to say hello to them after the judges weighed in with their comments on the June 26 episode of “America’s Got Talent.” All four made much of his potential, with head judge Simon Cowell encouraging O’Brien to continue to develop his sound.

In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper John Benutty observed, “When he finally got to sing, Joseph made every girl in the audience swoon. He picked a sweet love song that matched his personality and though they didn’t think it was the best singing audition, all of the judges see a ton of potential and talent in Joseph and so each and every one of them vouched for him to move on with a complete run of YESES from the panel.”
