‘America’s Got Talent’ magician Shin Lim returns to wow Olivia Munn with mystifying card trick [WATCH]

When close-up magician Shin Lim first auditioned on “America’s Got Talent” he was able to make grumpy Simon Cowell actually like card tricks again. Shin returned to the “AGT” stage on Tuesday, July 24 for the Judge Cuts 2 rounds and Simon humbled himself by saying, “Amazing first audition by the way.” As for how he prepared for his encore performance, Shin admitted, “I practiced a whole ton. It’s a tough act.” Watch the “Americas Got Talent” performance video above, which has been leaked by NBC hours before showtime.

To begin, Shin asked guest judge Olivia Munn to join him on the reality TV stage as his “spectator.” At first the actress seemed hesitant as she sheepishly walked up and sat next to a small table set up in the middle of the stage. But as soon as Shin began his act Munn was fully on-board, with the camera getting multiple shots of her open-mouthed amazement.

The magic trick was simple in design, but extremely hard to execute. Shin asked Munn to cover her hand over the Ace of Spades. He then pulled three Queens from the deck and, with the flick of his wrist, turned them into the remaining three Aces. As the trick continued the Aces soon replicated themselves, adding three Queens and three Kings. Then the Aces disappeared. Of course, when Shin asked Munn to remove her hand from the table, all four Aces appeared underneath.

Throughout the illusion the four judges — Simon, Heidi Klum, Mel B and Howie Mandel — were heard shouting “Wow!” over and over again. Will Shin make it through to the “AGT” live shows?
