Even before the second live show on August 21, “America’s Got Talent” fans were weighing in with their opinions as to which seven of the dozen quarterfinalists would move on to the semifinals. Do their predictions match your take on the 12 acts? Read our recap of their performances below and then make your predictions as to the seven that will make the cut on Wednesday’s “AGT” results show. The eligible entry with the best score will win bragging rights and a $100 Amazon gift card.
The lucky seven acts that we are predicting will contend in the “AGT” semifinals that start in two weeks time are:
Duo Transcend: Trapeze artists
This married duo of acrobats did a dazzling routine set to the song “Toxic” that had the audience and judges holding their collective breath.
Glennis Grace: Singer
The 39-year-old single mother from the Netherlands wowed with her version of “Never Enough,” which was introduced by Loren Allred in last year’s hit film “The Greatest Showman.”
Noah Guthrie: Singer/songwriter
Noah impressed the judges with one of his original songs, “Show Me Some Mercy.”
Makayla Phillips: 15-year-old singer
Heidi Klum‘s Golden Buzzer act made Julie Michael‘s signature song “Issues” her own.
Quin and Misha: ballroom dance duo
This dynamic dance duo, who are guest judge Martina McBride‘s Golden Buzzer, did a dazzling routine set to the song “Maniac.”
Sacred Riana: Magician
This 25-year-old Indonesian made use of a wide range of props and lookalikes to pull off a trick that left the audience gasping.
Voices of Hope: Children’s choir
Guest judge Ken Jeong‘s Golden Buzzer act ranges in age from 5 to 17. They performed an inspiring version of “A Million Dreams” from “The Greatest Showman.”
The five acts that we expect to be also-rans when the results are revealed on August 22 are:
Da RepubliK: dance group
This troupe of talented tykes from the Dominican Republic delivered an energetic routine set to the songs “Where they From” and “Hit the Floor.”
Front Pictures: multimedia performers
This Ukrainian troupe was this week’s Wild Card, as chosen by the producers. They once again failed to impress Howie Mandel.
Savitsky Cats: animal act
These frisky felines also hail from the Ukraine and were the cat’s meow with their routine set to “Break Free.”
Yumbo Dump: comedy duo
The humor of this Japanese pair failed to translate in their third appearance on the “AGT” stage, with Klum going so far as to buzz them.
