The lucky five acts that we are predicting will contend in the “AGT” finals that start in two weeks time are:
Duo Transcend: Trapeze artists
This married duo of acrobats did a dazzling routine set that had the audience and judges holding their collective breath.
Michael Ketterer: singer
Simon Cowell‘s Golden Buzzer had the audience cheering his cover of “When I Look at You” by Miley Cyrus.
Shin Lim: Magician
This master of the sleight of hand had both Mel B and Heidi Klum help him with a trick that dazzled the audience with its daring.
Voices of Hope: Children’s choir
Guest judge Ken Jeong‘s Golden Buzzer act ranges in age from 5 to 17. They performed an inspiring version of “Defying Gravity” from “Wicked.”
Zucaroh: dance troupe
Tyra Banks‘ Golden Buzzer were awe-inspiring in their routine inspired by ancient Greek gods.
The six acts that we expect to be also-rans when the results are revealed on September 5 are:
Samuel J. Comroe: stand-up comedian
The focus of his set was back on his Tourettes and that didn’t connect with many in the audience.
Front Pictures: multimedia performers
This Ukrainian troupe was this week’s Wild Card, as chosen by the producers. They failed to impress Simon who hit his red “X.”
Junior Dance System: dance group
This troupe of toe-tappers from the Philippines delivered an energetic routine set to a medley of pop songs.
Amanda Mena: singer
Mel B’s Golden Buzzer choice delivered a soulful rendition of the Pharrell Williams hit “Happy.”
Makayla Phillips: singer
Heidi’s Golden Buzzer act struggled with the Jessie J song “Who You Are.”
Us the Duo: singers/songwriters
This married couple performed another original track, but this one left the judges underwhelmed.
