A married trapeze act is set to steal the show on the June 19 episode of “America’s Got Talent.” Mary Wolfe-Nielsen and Tyce Nielsen, who hail from Salt Lake City, perform around the world as Duo Transcend. Watch them defy death with their high-wire routine done to “Wicked Game” by Raign.
As they explain to the “AGT” judges, the two of them met while working as high divers in a circus. They got married six years ago and are the parents of a two-year-old son, Jaxx. Tyce reveals that he suffers from a vision problem that requires surgery. Indeed, he characterizes his eyesight as “bad.” Despite doctor’s orders to stop performing, Tyce insists that the show must go on as he believes that his connection with Mary will see them through.
Do you think that the fearsome foursome who sit on the panel — head judge Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel — will put them through to the next round? As this teaser video does not include their comments, we will have to wait till Tuesday to find out.
The format is the same this year as last, with “America’s Got Talent” airing initially just on Tuesdays. The June 19 episode is the fourth of six devoted to the auditions that took place around the country. Then there will be four weeks of Judge Cuts beginning in July, followed by the series of live performance shows and results episodes.
