“America’s Got Talent” aired the first live show of season 13 on Tuesday (Aug. 14) and a dozen acts took to the stage of the Dolby Theater in Hollywood. On the August 15 results show, seven will find out that they get to move on to the semifinals. But are any of these acts good enough to be crowned season 13 “AGT” champ next month?

Mochi: The first act of the night returned with his diabolo routine which uses high res graphics to match the movement of the tricks. The capper was a diabolo that shot sparks out of it.
Human Fountains: This week’s wild card is a comic quartet who spit on each other. Simon Cowell soon hit his red X in disgust as they all spit mustard and ketchup onto a hot dog that one member then ate.
Angel City Chorale: This 160-person choir was the first of four Golden Buzzer acts to perform and delivered a soulful rendition of “This Is Me,” the powerful anthem from the film “The Greatest Showman.”
The PAC Dance Team: These high schoolers did a dance routine inspired by “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Howie Mandel remained unimpressed with this troupe and Mel B added a dissenting voice as well.
Amanda Mena: Mel B’s Golden Buzzer sang a remixed version of Pink‘s song “What About Us” that added Spanish lyrics to the English ones.
Junior New System: This all-male dance group from the Philippines once again ended their energetic performance wearing high heels.
We Three: This trio of siblings performed another original song, which Simon told them was a step down from their previous efforts and deemed them to be a “support band” not a headliner.
Lord Nil: The escape artist worked with rattlesnakes to prove that he will put his life on the line to win.
Flau’jae: This Golden Buzzer act got the audience involved in her rap song as they clapped, waved their arms and sang along to her catchy chorus.
Shin Lim: The magician did a trick with a continuous flow of a deck of cards disappearing and reappearing, changing into a different deck that spelled out “Vote For Shin Lim America’s Got Talent.”
Vicki Barbolak: This stand-up took center stage with another self-deprecating set of jokes focused on her dating life.
Courtney Hadwin: Howie’s Golden Buzzer act closed out the show with a rocking version of the James Brown soul classic “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.
