‘Big Brother’ 20 episode 15 recap: Who won HOH on July 29 and how did everyone celebrate Kaitlyn’s eviction? [UPDATING LIVE BLOG]

Kaitlyn Herman made great television, which is why we’re secretly bummed the clairvoyant was evicted from “Big Brother” 20 last week by a nearly unanimous vote. She was given the chance to save herself thanks to Sam Bledsoe‘s unused Bonus Life power app, but she failed to complete a simple puzzle and was sent packing, much to the delight of her fellow houseguests. So how did everyone celebrate Kaitlyn’s eviction, and who won the next Head of Household competition?

Below, check out our minute-by-minute “Big Brother” recap of Season 20, Episode 15 to find out what happened Sunday, July 29 at 8/7c. Then be sure to sound off in the comments section about your favorite houseguests on CBS’ reality TV show, who annoys you the most, and who you think will ultimately join the “Big Brother” winners list. 8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” On Thursday’s live episode, Kaitlyn was evicted in a landslide vote of 9-1 over Rockstar Lantry, with only JC Mounduix voting to keep her. Outgoing HOH Sam is not able to compete in tonight’s challenge, which means the winner will be either Tyler Crispen, Scottie Salton, Bayleigh Dayton, Faysal Shafaat, Kaycee Clark, Brett Robinson, JC Mounduix, Rachel Swindler, Haleigh Broucher, Angela Rummans or Rockstar. Let the game begin!

8:10 p.m. – Following Kaitlyn’s exit, the house is relatively somber. Fessy is relieved to have the drama out of the house, but it seems to come roaring back in the form of Haleigh when she questions if he was the person who voted for Rockstar. Fessy was insulted that she would even ask him that. At this point, nobody seems to know it was JC. JC voted for Rockstar because he knew it would stir up drama in the house. Tyler announced to the entire house that he voted for Kaitlyn and feels like someone is putting a target on his back. What’s left of the Level 6 alliance is now convinced Scottie was the stray vote.

8:15 p.m. – Bayleigh and Sam are talking in the bathroom. Bayleigh thinks Scottie was the rogue vote as well and she informs Sam that he pulled the same move with Swaggy C. Williams.

8:25 p.m. – It’s time for the HOH competition. In “Perfect Timing,” players will sit on top of an email platform and send themselves from the “outbox” to the “inbox.” Whoever is closest to finishing in exactly 8 seconds will win. Bayleigh is up first and finishes in 8.08 seconds. Wow. After the entire house makes an attempt, Bayleigh is crowned the HOH! The Level 6 alliance is terrified that they could lose another player this week.

8:32 p.m. – Bayleigh is hopeful she will finally hear the truth from people now that she has power. She is ready to REGULATE. She dedicates her win to Swaggy. But as her alliance celebrates, she wonders why Scottie seems so happy. I guess he’s on her “shady” list. Rachel tells Brett that she wants to plant seeds in Bayleigh’s head to nominate Scottie. Up in the HOH room, Tyler pours out the crocodile tears to gain sympathy from Bayleigh. He is telling her that now that he lost Kaitlyn, he is a lone wolf. Bayleigh completely falls for Tyler’s lies. She believes he is wounded and she will be there to “scoop him up.” Dang, Tyler is really working this house over.

8:40 p.m. – There’s a fun segment dedicated to the blossoming relationship between Fessy and JC. It was shown as if it was a sit com, with a laughing track and all. It was actually pretty funny. They are an entertaining duo to watch. Meanwhile, Bayleigh and Haleigh are talking game in the HOH room. Bayleigh wants to put Brett up, but she’s not sure who else to nominate. Scottie tells Bayleigh he thinks Rachel is the person who voted for Rockstar. Bayleigh tells him that if he is lying to her she will gut him and leave his intestines on the floor. That was graphic! She then dismisses him so she can think.

8:50 p.m. – Bayleigh is now telling JC he better not ever turn on her. She tells him that everyone in the house loves and trusts him, suggesting he may have to go on the block as a pawn. JC tells Bayleigh he is ready to work with her, but when he leaves the HOH room he gets upset. He confides in Fessy that he is upset and convinces him to go talk to Bayleigh for him. Fessy heads up to the HOH room to try to save JC. Fessy argues that JC is more loyal, which Bayleigh quickly responds, “To YOU.” Bayleigh doesn’t trust JC.

8:55 p.m. – Bayleigh and Haleigh are absolutely grilling Fessy about his loyalty to JC. They are fuming that he seems to care more about JC than them. Fessy is clearly annoyed and assures them they have his loyalty. But with the way they are treating Fessy, it’s no wonder why he has more fun hanging out with JC.

8:59 p.m. – Bayleigh calls Rachel into the HOH room. She tells Rachel, straight up, that Brett has to go. Rachel might have him wrapped around her finger, but he will never keep Bayleigh safe. She then tells Rachel she may have to go up as a pawn. To earn her trust, Bayleigh that tells Rachel about her power app. I love that these houseguests are playing the game this season! At the nomination ceremony, Bayleigh does, in fact, nominate Brett and Rachel for eviction. Find out Wednesday who won the Veto and if it was used to take either Brett or Rachel off the block.
