‘Big Brother’ 20 episode 25 recap: Did Zingbot’s Veto save either Scottie or Brett on August 22? [UPDATING LIVE BLOG]

Heading into Wednesday’s Veto episode of “Big Brother,” the house was still in shock over Head of Household Faysal Shafaat‘s decision to nominate his ally Scottie Salton for eviction next to Brett Robinson. Thanks to JC Mounduix‘s “puppet master” skills, Faysal was made to believe that Scottie was in love with his girl Haleigh Broucher, so Faysal retaliated by putting him on the block. Did tonight’s Veto challenge, which was hosted by fan-favorite robot Zingbot, save either Scottie or Brett? If so, who did Faysal put up as a replacement nominee?

SEE Will Tyler Crispen join Ross Mathews and Paul Abrahamian as best ‘Big Brother’ players to lose the game?

8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘Big Brother’!” In Sunday’s 24th episode Faysal won the slip n slide HOH comp and immediately celebrated with his alliance members Haleigh and Scottie. However, before the episode was over, JC’s master manipulation worked in convincing Faysal that Scottie needed to go on the block for his (fake) love affair with Haleigh. Elsewhere, the Level 6 alliance of Brett, Tyler Crispen, Kaycee Clark and Angela Rummans celebrated sending Rockstar Lantry to the jury house during Haleigh’s HOH. Will they continue dominating the game tonight? Let’s find out!

8:07 p.m. – Following the nomination ceremony Faysal expresses he doesn’t trust Brett OR Scottie. Brett thinks Fessy is a complete buffoon and can’t wait to play for the Veto. Scottie is baffled and immediately goes up to speak with Fessy. Fessy was defensive, dismissive and paranoid. Even if Scottie wins the Veto at this point, he will never forgive Fessy for this. Level 6 is talking about making sure Scottie doesn’t win the Veto so he goes home this week.

8:10 p.m. – Haleigh tells Fessy that he made the wrong move because Scottie was the only person on their side, besides JC (who isn’t actually on their side). Fessy is in no mood to be lectured by Haleigh, but when he gets frustrated she gets furious. She tries to explain to him that there is a group of people working together, but he just doesn’t get it. It’s like he’s never seen the game before. His paranoia reaches new heights when he questions Haleigh’s loyalty because of how much she speaks to Brett and Scottie. Yowza!

8:13 p.m. – It’s time to pick players for the Veto competition! Angela, Haleigh and Tyler were chosen to compete with Faysal, Brett and Scottie.

8:16 p.m. – JC and Tyler are up in the HOH room speaking with Fessy. He still thinks they’re on his side! JC continues to push how much Scottie likes Haleigh and then leaves. Fessy then tells Tyler he would like to offer a Final Four deal between themselves, Angela and Haleigh. Tyler entertains his idea, but in the Diary Room states what he really feels, “Really Fessy? Welcome to ‘Big Brother’! On Day 60!” This alliance will not be happening.

8:25 p.m. – Ding Dong! The houseguests run to the living room to be greeted by Zingbot. The legendary robot is there to roast the houseguests with his nasty zingers. He called Angela “heartless, emotionless and soulless” haha. She gave a half laugh, but I think she was offended. Zingbot then asked Haleigh, “What do you call someone who is blonde, blue-eyed and has a crush on Brett?…Scottie!” ZING! That one almost gave Fessy a heart attack. Kaycee was Zingbot’s next victim, when he played up how boring she is to watch. He said she has all the viewers shouting, “Let’s go!….To another channel!” Zing! Next Brett was called a giant douche! Yes, Zingbot. Tell it. Short, sweet and hilarious. His next zing was for Tyler, who he called “greasy, burnt and covered and zits.” Dang! The next zingers rattled off were: Zingbot was surprised to learn Fessy is a part-time teacher, considering he’s a full-time moron! The only thing thicker than JC’s accent is his back hair! Haleigh was so good reading “Hamlet,” but the real Shakespearean tragedy was her HOH reign. Zing! Sam, you love to tell everyone how real you are. You ARE real. Real f****** crazy! Zing! And with that comment, the houseguests ran for cover!

8:30 p.m. – In this week’s Veto competition, players each have three minutes to hide a folder in the “Big Brother” house. They will then take turns running inside to look for the hidden folders. If a folder is found, the player that discovered it will return it to the backyard. At the conclusion, there will be one folder the houseguests haven’t found. Whoever hid that folder will win the Power of Veto!

8:45 p.m. – Brett wisely played defense during his first trip into the house. He stacked up all the mattresses on top of his folder to disguise it as if someone just looked under mattresses. Scottie did the same, pouring milk all over the floors, discouraging people from getting low on the floor (his folder is hidden under the bathroom sink). The players are absolutely demolishing this house! Finally, Tyler finds the first folder…Angela’s. Scottie found the next folder…Tyler’s. Fessy finds the third folder…Haleigh’s. Scottie finds the fourth folder…Fessy’s. It will come down to Brett or Scottie! Scottie’s folder is behind the kitchen sink. Brett’s is buried under about 25 mattresses. Finally, Haleigh finds the last folder…Scottie’s. Brett has won the Power of Veto!

8:53 p.m. – Now that Brett won the Power of Veto, Fessy will have to decide who to put up as the replacement nominee. Perhaps even more disheartening is how absolutely decimated the house is. Sam is furious and looks like she might go nuclear. Fessy and JC are talking upstairs. JC tells Fessy he needs to put up Kaycee or Angela so Scottie will go home. Scottie is talking to Sam and Brett in the backyard. He’s convinced the only person he could beat in a vote is Haleigh. Sam volunteers to ask Fessy to put Haleigh on the block. Sam is crazy like a fox and appears to be thrilled with her new mission.

8:59 p.m. – Sam does indeed propose that Fessy put up Haleigh. She tells Fessy that Haleigh is using him like a tool and he’s giving her a free ride. She will throw him away like a tissue and she’s just a dead weight. Dang Sam! She continues that Haleigh will be tickled if he does something so “gamey” because she’s crazy like that. Ha! Sam tries to get Fessy to pinky swear but he won’t commit. He can’t be THIS stupid. He mouths “WTF” into the camera. Scottie then throws a hail Mary of his own and piggybacks Sam’s suggestion of Haleigh, calling her Kaitlyn 2.0. Fessy is now debating whether or not to tell Haleigh what everyone is saying. Then, the episode concludes with no Veto meeting! WHAT???? We will find out who the replacement nominee is and who is evicted Thursday night on “Big Brother!”
