‘Big Brother 20”s Sam has destroyed her game with her slut-shaming comments, readers say

Sam went from robot to rocking the house on “Big Brother 20” after she accused her nominees Kaitlyn and Haleigh of not exemplifying female empowerment and slut-shamed them for “hanging all over” the guys in the house at the nomination ceremony. They were stunning comments that seemingly came out of nowhere — especially to broadcast-only viewers of the show — and 49 percent of our readers think Sam has done major damage to her game.

Sam’s remarks — click here to see what else she said about Kaitlyn and Haleigh on the live feeds — were ill-advised and head-scratching, not just because of the content that she had to know would upset them (and others), but because she knew her HOH reign would be a wash since her Power App is automatically invoked this week. Why make things personal when you know they have the chance to come back to the game?

But 29 percent say it’s too soon to tell how much of an impact her comments will have. This season has had some of the most fluid decision-making in years, with some votes coming down to the wire and some people who looked like targets one day fade into the background the next (Scottie is lying very low this week).

Meanwhile, 22 percent don’t think Sam ruined her own game. People have forgiven others for similar or worse transgressions in the house, but one thing’s for sure: Sam wasn’t a target at all before this week and she definitely is now on everyone’s radar.
