The final Head of Household competition of “Big Brother” 20 will determine the two houseguests who face the jury on September 26. Soon after the end of the live episode last Thursday, Tyler Crispen won Part 1, which was a physical endurance test. On Saturday the other two remaining houseguests — Kaycee Clark and JC Mounduix — will go head-to-head in Part 2. The winner of this match-up will then face off against Tyler in Part 3 of the HOH competition during the live #BB20 finale on Wednesday.
For a preview of Part 2, which will combine physical endurance and mental agility, let’s revisit last year’s competition. In “Knock ’em Down,” Christmas Abbott and Josh Martinez competed for this make-or-break win. This was a medieval themed contest in which the duelling contestants had to read clues before knocking down cardboard cutouts of houseguests that didn’t correspond with those clues with a slingshot. The player to do this the fastest won.
Christmas had terrible aim and kept knocking down the wrong houseguests despite knowing the answers to the clues. Josh struggled with his aim as well, but was not as bad a shot as Christmas. But his memory clearly wasn’t as good as her. How could he not know that Alex Ow and Jason Dent weren’t on the block three times?
Josh ended up winning by just seven minutes, with a time of one hour and 32 minutes. He went on to be pitted against Paul in the Part 3 HOH competition on the live season 19 finale. They played “Scales of Just Us” to test how well they knew the jury. They had to decide how jurors completed certain statements.
At the end of eight rounds, Josh won by a score of 4-2. As final HOH, he evicted Christmas and brought Paul with him to the final 2. Josh won over the jury by a vote of 5-4.
