There might not be a double eviction on ‘Big Brother 20,’ and it’s all Kaitlyn’s fault

Kaitlyn’s failure to complete the Bonus Life comp on “Big Brother 20” has far bigger repercussions than her not returning to the game. According to @realvegas4sure, a “Big Brother” production source, we may not have a double eviction this season because Kaitlyn’s unexpected flop threw the schedule off.

“There could be NO DOUBLE EVICTION this summer because Kaitlyn couldn’t solve the puzzle,” @realvegas4sure tweeted Thursday. “Keep you posted IF and when one will happen.”

Had Kaitlyn finished the World’s Easiest Puzzle, she would’ve been safe from nominations this week but would’ve been ineligible to compete in the HOH, and the Aug. 2 show would’ve been a double eviction, @realvegas4sure said.

This implies that there is no backup jury Battle Back comp planned to offset the Bonus Life comp failure, so TPTB were truly banking on Kaitlyn returning to the game as the buyback to keep the double eviction in play. If there is a Battle Back, there would be enough people to do a double eviction and fill out the schedule through the Sept. 26 finale.

@realvegas4sure, who’s been proven correct on other spoilers this season, including Tyler being the first HOH and Power and Crap App recipients, cautioned that there is “plenty of time for things to change,” but the season is planned out in advance — they don’t come up with and construct those extravagant comps on the fly, you know? — and now they have to readjust.

It would be a huge shame if there is no double eviction this season. Double evictions are some of the most suspenseful, nerve-wracking episodes that leave no time for second-guessing or campaigning. On the other hand, houseguests are conditioned to expect a DE now, so it would be a huge twist for them if there isn’t one.

But yeah, if we don’t get one, you can blame Kaitlyn.
