‘Big Brother 20’ spoilers: Sam’s post-Veto ceremony antics have everyone talking

During the Week 8 Veto ceremony on “Big Brother 20” on Monday, Faysal put up Kaycee as the replacement nominee next to Scottie after Brett took himself off. That means Sam‘s pitch to Fessy to nominate Haleigh in exchange for Sam quitting smoking did not work. Shocking, we know. But would you believe us if we said Sam was actually, legitimately shocked it didn’t work? Like no joke. She was totally flummoxed. And now she’s acting out in protest by not talking for 24 hours.

Yes, she is giving the house the silent treatment. After the Veto meeting, frustrated that Fessy didn’t take her up on her offer, she decided to stop playing the game because she doesn’t know what’s going on. Then she told JC that she would stop talking starting at 1:30 p.m. PT.

Sam: At 1:30, I’m going to stop making sound. It’s not for any reason other than I’m going on strike. I’m protesting.

JC: About what?

Sam: The cruelty.

Sure. Sam dispatched JC to tell the rest of the house that she’ll be silent for the next 24 hours, and everyone basically was like, “What the hell?” Angela and Haleigh have also started discussing the possibility of Sam being Team America. “I bet they were like, ‘You are in a really shitty spot. Just stop talking for an entire day,'” Haleigh said, before adding that Team America has always done something with apple pie, which Sam has baked.

Obviously Sam is not Team America; she’s just Sam being Sam, doing yet another kooky thing. On the one hand, this might prevent her from having verbal diarrhea and making another mind-boggling pitch to someone or confessing to Brett how she thought they were going to get married, which she did on Friday. But this self-imposed strike is not a good look for her, especially after her Haleigh/smoking pitch on Sunday. Then again, she has repeatedly talked about how she wants to go to the “little house,” aka the jury house, and to self-evict, so maybe this is all part of her master plan.

But the big question is: Will she last 24 hours? She technically broke it already because she didn’t realize it was past 1:30, but she then immediately zipped her lips. JC has been trying to break her and she’s holding strong so far. Guys, if you really want her to crack, just mess up the house.
